A new trailer was released today starring the Terminator himself in a independent zombie-drama film. I know, the words "independent" "drama" and "zombie" are not the first thing that you think of when you near Arnold Schwarzenegger but these are strange times...
Stranger, is that this actually looks to be a promising film. At this point I've grown tired of the zombie genre and of Mr. Schwarzenegger himself feeling that both had dried up and ran out of originality i.e. The Walking Dead and Terminator: Genesis (Yes, I know how they spell it but I refuse to. Thanks to that movie we're gonna have a generation of kids who will spell that word like this "Genisys").
This film appears to put a spin of the zombie drama and on Mr. Schwarzenegger. Who plays a father who comes to terms with the fact that his daughter is diagnosed and will turn into a zombie. Will he race against the clock to find a cure or put her down?
I'm just happy to see a Zombie movie that doesn't involve running and screaming but instead focus on the human element and how our hearts and emotions can decay from such an outbreak.
See what I did there?
Maggie will open as a limited release on May 8th.
